On the Xbox FarCry becomes Farcry Instincts, and whenever a game becomes successful they usually become an instant classic among game fans. Many classic also become sequels, and on the Xbox you can also find the Sequel to the FarCry game, as FarCry Instincts Evolution. Both FarCry games are what can be defined as Classic Xbox games. Classic games can also be found in older games, and especially in games that originate in the arcade.A game that has come full circle from the coin op, and was also released for 16 bit platforms has come for another spin on the Xbox. The game is Out Run 2, complete with graphics that would make any coin op player happy, and even online play which allows you to compete against other players on the Xbox live. The original Out Run is a classic arcade racing simulator, where you got to race in one of the worlds most known sports cars against time, or other opponents. One of the most memorable parts of the game is its selection of tunes you could play while driving, other memorable features are the power slide, and different racing tracks, which spanned many parts of the world.
Many games have come full circle on the Xbox and are starting a new one on the Xbox 360. There are 360 degrees in a circle, which seems to be the same as in the name of the new Xbox. Whether that is a coincident or not it can show that some games keep being played regardless of their age. New gaming technology can give old classics new life, by expanding on them with new features and possibilities. Some have been developed from being unknown to changing the way games are played. Other games are sometimes just a clone based on earlier games, and do the same thing with out adding any new flavor to the game. Games can also be built on the success of the first games and go on to do things people did not expect. The Xbox has been making great strides in the development of Roleplaying games. Games like Knights of The Old Republic, which is one of the most popular Star Wars Roleplaying game on the Xbox is an example of a good Roleplaying game. Many Classic Xbox games are also based on popular movies like KOTOR. This formula does not always work, as some games don't simple fit into the same model as successful movies.
